WELCOME!
I am so excited for our time together in Denver! Because there are only 6 of you joining it is going to be a
small, intimate, engaging experience. No questions are off limits, I will be an open book for you all the entire 4 hours we are together.
The Details, Once Again
WHERE:
This will take place at my home in Boulder, Co.
2930 Island Drive
Boulder, CO 80301
WHEN:
Friday October 18th 3pm - 7pm
DETAILS:
This is a group photo critique.
You will each be given an opportunity to have your work critiqued by Kirsten.
It can be a contact sheet from a session, a portfolio or personal project.
All of the critiques will be recorded for you to take home with you.
Each student will receive a 30 minute block!
WHAT GEAR DO I NEED?
You only need your files or a link.
If you like taking notes, bring either
a notebook or computer/tablet. Remember
that all the critiques will also be recorded
and uploaded to a dedicated teachable page.
WILL WE BE BREAKING FOR DINNER?
Our critique will end around 7pm. I plan on
going out for dinner afterward so anyone that
is interested in joining me is more than welcome
to do so. We have some GREAT restaurant options
here in Boulder!
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
You will want to bring a collection
of photographs that you would like
feedback on. They can be a portfolio,
a website, a gallery or a contact sheet
from a particular shoot. I can even
give feedback on a personal project.
DO I HAVE TO SHARE MY WORK?
The short answer is no. You do not HAVE to do anything.
That being said, the entire point of this being a group
experience is not only to learn from one another but
to support one another along the way. One of the most
beautiful things about life is just how much overlap
there is in share life experience. If you have challenges,
questions or curiosity regarding your pictures
I GUARANTEE you that someone else in the group
has experienced something similar.
WHY BOULDER?
My home is perfectly set up for small
group experiences and because of that I
have decided to host the in-person experiences
here so that it feels a bit more personal, safer.
It is about a 30minute drive northwest from
Denver. There are buses available as well as
ride share. It’s also possible to commute with
another attendee.
WHAT CAN I DO TO MENTALLY PREPARE?
Ideally, the best thing you can do to prepare for our
time together is to plan to arrive with an open mind and
heart. I, most likely, am going to push you into a space that
feels uncomfortable at some point during the day. I believe
that the biggest opportunities for growth come from this
discomfort. If you walk in with the mindset that anything
CAN be possible, your chances of experiencing positive
impact from Breaking Through is inevitable.
LOOKING FORWARD TO WORKING
WITH YOU IN OCTOBER!
If you have ANY more questions between now and then PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out at any time.
Molly and Kristen are both eager to assist you on the back end in preparation for our time together.
Balances will be due the week before the workshop and you will receive a reminder.
See you soon!
